PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of voids and the ruggedness on the surface with a simple method by untwisting a shaped stranded wire temporarily in a molten metal vessel, impregnating the wire with molten metal, and taking out the wire while cooling the wire in a throttle jig at the outlet. CONSTITUTION:A pretreated wire to be plated (shaped stranded wire) 2 is sent into a plating vessel 51 through an inlet throttle die 8 in a hot dipping vessel 5, and passed through the through-holes 74, 75, and 76 of plural jigs 71, 72, and 73 so that the wire 2 to be plated may be untwisted temporarily by the given torsion. The inside of the wire is impregnated with a molten metal 10, and the wire is taken out while being cooled in an outlet throttle die 9 by a cooler 6. Besides, the through holes 74 and 76 of the jigs 71 and 73 are formed vertically like the through-holes of the dice 8 and 9, and the through hole 75 of the jig 72 is inclined to a specified angle. Consequently, a plated wire 20 impregnated with molten metal to the inside is formed. |
