PURPOSE:To enhance releasability from the surface of a fixing roller by suspending a compsn. obtained by dispersing a polyolefin wax having its surface made hydrophilic, a colorant, etc., into a polymerizable monomer in an aq. medium, and polymerizing the suspended compsn. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic image developing toner is obtained by polymerizing the polymerizable compsn. prepared by dispersing the polyolefin wax having its surface made hydrophilic together with the colorant and a wax except the polyolefin wax into the polymerizable monomer, and suspended into an aq. medium. The polyolefin wax made hydrophilic on the surface can be obtained, for example, by mechanically pulverizing it, e.g., with a jet mill, or sand mill, into minute particles, and oxidizing their surfaces with an oxidizing agent, such as bichromate or chromic acid. |
