PURPOSE:To perform the effective precipitative separation of a solid substance from a solid substance-containing liquid mixture, by preventing the fluidization of solid particles due to agitation. CONSTITUTION:A raw liquid (slurry) 19 is supplied to an apparatus main body 1 from the top part thereof and lowered in its flow-down speed when passes through a communication part 7 from a buffle part 5 and is converted into a widened stream when flowed into a solid-liquid separation part 3. Therefore, the precipitation of solid particles is promoted and said solid particles are accumulated in an inverted conical shape bottom part in a conc. state. The liquid phase part is flowed out from the perforations of a perforated plate 9 and discharged to the outside from the discharge pipe 15 provided to the lower part of the main body 1. As a result, because the supplied slurry is stayed in the buffle part 5 at once, the precipitation part of the solid-liquid separation part 3 receives no influence even if the slurry is supplyed from a supply pipe 17 and the dancing or reflotation of solid particles is not generted and stable solid-liquid separation can be performed.
