PURPOSE:To adjust easily read/write of a memory of a display device by dividing a display section to each display block, providing a buffer memory corresponding to each display block, and transferring the data in parallel from the buffer to each display block. CONSTITUTION:The display section 1 is divided into plural display blocks 9. The horizontal scanning period of the video signal is divided into plural scanning periods corresponding to the said division and the image data subject to A/D conversion 4 is written sequentially in the buffer memory 10 provided at each display block at each period. After data write is finished in the memory 10, the written data is transferred to a memory in the block 9 corresponding thereto respectively from each memory 10 at the period until the data write is started again. Thus, the data transfer speed is brought into a low speed and the read/ write of the memory is adjusted easily in each display device 8.
