PURPOSE:To facilitate a work to mount and demount a tyre to and from a rim and to improve durability, by a method wherein an air valve for truck tyre is constituted such that a valve stem, in which a seal is engagedly interposed, is interposed into a valve sleeve, and is fastened by means of a nut threadedly attached to the outer periphery of the sleeve. CONSTITUTION:A valve stem 35, with which packing rings 40 and 42 are engaged, is inserted into an insertion hole 30 of a valve sleeve 33 having a large flange 31 which is buried in base rubber 32, and a nut 44 is threadedly joined with the valve sleeve 33. This causes the sleeve 33, the stem 35, and the nut 44 to be forced into contact with each other, the stem 35 is fixed, and a shoulder part 38 is forcibly pressed in with the aid of a projection part 44b of the nut 44, and is sealed by means of a packing ring 40. This constitution facilitates mounting and demounting of the tyre to and from the rim during rotation, prevents deterioration in a packing, and eliminates specification of tightening torque, resulting in easy handling. |
