<p>PURPOSE:Solid substances are coated with an emulsion composition of polydiorganopolysiloxane bearing quaternary ammonium salt on their surfaces to prevent the substances from being contaminated with algae. CONSTITUTION:Solid substances are coated on their surfaces, with an emulsion composition which is obtained by copolymerizing (A) 0.1-60wt% of a reaction product from A1: 50-99.9wt% of polyorganosiloxane having one or more silanol groups on the average and a viscosity of 5-10,000cst at 25 deg.C and A2: 0.1- 50wt% of a reaction product between 1mol of an aminosilane of formula I (Q<1> is H, methyl; R<1> is 1-4C hydrocarbon group; R<2>, R<3> are 1-4C hydrocarbon groups; a is 0, 1) and 0.5-3.0mol of a silane containing epoxy groups of formula II (Q<2> is epoxy-containing group; R<4> is 2-4C hydrocarbon groups; R<5>, R<6> are R<2>; b is a) with (B) 1-50wt% of a cyclic organosiloxane of formula III (R<7>, R<8> are 1- 50C hydrocarbon groups; n is 3 or more) in the presence of 0.1-20wt% of a quaternary ammonium type surfactant and (D) 20-90wt% of water.</p> |
