PURPOSE:To omit or simplify a stabilizing circuit for battery voltage which is supplied to a large power consumption part of an illumination system, recording system, and a motor system, etc., by providing a gradation control knob that can be easily operated from outside by a user. CONSTITUTION:The power of a battery 1 is supplied via a voltage stabilizing circuit 2 to a signal circuit 7 which needs the stable voltage and consumes virtually no electric power. While the unstabilized voltage is supplied to an illuminator 3, heating record head 9 and motor systems 8 and 10, etc. which consume large quantity of power. Especially the luminance of the illumination is changed with the variation of the voltage, and the heating temperature of the head 9 changes with variation of the voltage. As a result, the recording density is varied by the voltage variation of the battery 1. In such a way, the variance of copying quality is caused. Thus a user controls a density controller 12 to eliminate said quality variance. As a result, the width of a strobe pulse applied to the head 9 is varied and the recording density is controlled.
