PURPOSE:To synthesize easily and economically an image using one image memory by providing an image memory to read and write the image data, a control memory to store control data, and a mean of selective writing. CONSTITUTION:An original image data 201 is stored in an image memory 101 beforehand. A control data that describes the clipped area of the data 201 is stored in a memory 107. An input image data 202 is A/D converted 103, and transferred to a selector 104. In synchronization, the data 201 is read out from the memory 101, and transferred to the selector 104. Also, simultaneously, a data 202 is read out from the memory 107, and transferred to the selector 104. The data 204 controls to output, from the output Y of the selector 104, the data 201 for the areas shown by slant lines of the data 204, but for the other areas, does the data 202 likewise. In result, the data 201 is buried in the data 202 and a synthesized image data 204 is obtained, which is outputted to line 106 via a D/A converter 106. |
