PURPOSE:To facilitate selection of storing receptacles by supporting the receptacles in such a manner as to freely move obliquely upward, and individually locking the movement of each receptacle in a system where one of sheet storing receptacles vertically arranged in multistage is selected to feed a sheet. CONSTITUTION:In the illustrated condition where a paper tray 63 is selected to feed a sheet, in case of selecting a tray 64, for example, a linear motor is first operated to lift up an elevator 19 along a guide rod 17 to the upper limit standby position. Subsequently, a male screw 14 is rotated forward by a motor 12 to lower trays 61, 62 in a body to be loaded on the tray 63. Soon after, solenoids 151, 152 are excited to project an operation rod 16 to fix the sliding state of slide rails 7 for a sliding contact piece 8, and then the male screw 14 is rotated in the opposite direction by the motor 12. Thus, the trays 61-63 are displaced in a body to the upper left. After that, the elevator 19 is lowered to position corresponding to the tray 64. |
