The subject of the present invention is a rotary transmission shaft whose body 2 comprises crossed webs or layers of fibres of high modulus, the fibres of these webs making an angle lying substantially between 40 DEG and 50 DEG with the axis of the tube and optionally, so as to increase the axial rigidity, at least one web or layer of fibres parallel to the said axis. According to the invention, this shaft comprises, in the vicinity of each of its ends, at least one undulated portion in the form of bellows whose flanks 4 and 5 are coated with webs of fibres of low modulus, the fibres of these auxiliary webs making an angle of less than 20 DEG with the axis of the tube. <IMAGE>
