PURPOSE:To improve the safety of the titled fan by a method wherein the signal of a gas sensor is inputted in order to control the operation of a motor into the control device of the semiconductor contactless switching device of a ventilating fan containing the commutatorless motor in the domestic ventilating fan. CONSTITUTION:When the detection signal of a gas sensor 7 is inputted into the control device 6 of a commutatorless motor 2, the control device 6 outputs the operation control signals to the control electrodes of a group of thyristors 1 constituting th realization of commutation without any commutators so as to control the rotation and stoppage of a rotor 4. Due to the constitution just mentioned above, the contactless switching configurations can be realized, resulting in eliminating the generation of sparks at the stop of the operation and consequently improving the safety of the titled fan.
