PURPOSE:To make it possible to hear a recorded time as a voice at the reproducing time by recording a recording execution time as digital data in an automatic answering telephone set or the like. CONSTITUTION:A clock circuit 12 sends the signal indicating an incoming time to a digital data converting circuit 16. Digital data from the circuit 16 is recorded on a tape 1 by a head 8. After this recording, the voice signal of a calling subscriber is recorded on the tape 1 by the head 8. Thereafter, a reproduced signal due to the head 8 is applied to a reading circuit 23, and read contents are applied to a CPU2, and the CPU2 operates a voice synthesizing circuit 24. The circuit 24 synthesizes a voice signal indicating contents corresponding to data and appllies it to a speaker 26.
