PURPOSE:To erase selectively recorded signals on an optional track, by switching the rotating speed of a magnetic medium to the 2nd rotating speed which rotates the magnetic medium at the time of erasion, and supplying an erase signal of a prescribed frequency to a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:At the time of video signal recording operation, changeover switches (S)4, 8, 12, and 18 controlled by a switching means controlling circuit 19 are set to the N side and picture signals to be recorded are inputted in a recording circuit system 13 from an input terminal 17. Outputs of a video circuit 14 are sent to a recording circuit 6 after they are mixed by a mixer 21 after passing through a luminance signal FM modulator circuit 15 and chrominance component FM modulator circuit 16 and recorded on a rotary magnetic sheet 1 by means of a magnetic head 5. At the time of erasing operation, the magnetic head 5 is moved to a desired track location. Then the switching means controlling circuit 19 is operated by operating an erase button 20 and the S4, 8, 12, and 18 are switched to the E side. As a result, motor 2 is declerated to the 1/10 of the normal rotating speed and only signals which pass through the circuit 15 can be recorded with an electric current which is about double of the optimum recording current, and thus, erasion is assured. |
