摘要 PURPOSE:To extend the operation region where a reactive power can be controlled, by breaking a shunt reactor if a margin angle gamma reaches gammamin when a converter is operated and making the shunt reactor if the margin angle gamma is larger than gammamin by a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:In a DC transmission and frequency converting equipment, the reactive power or an AC system voltage is controlled by the converter. One shunt reactor (SHR) and one shunt capacitor (SC) are provided, and the margin angle gamma in the reverse converting operation side of the converter which is operated is detected and is inputted to level detectors 53 and 54. The detector 53 generates a high-level output signal when gamma reaches gammamin or smaller, and the detector 5 generates a high-level output signal if gamma is larger than gammamin by a prescribed value DELTAgamma or larger. The SHR and the SC are broken or made in accordance with these signals to control the reactive power of an AC system.
