The invention relates to flexible magnetic recording carriers comprising a non-magnetic flexible carrier material and two magnetic coatings applied thereupon, lying one over the other and essentially composed of magnetic material finely distributed in organic polymer binders, the magnetic materials of the two magnetic coatings differing in specific surface and coercive field strength.
