PURPOSE:To eliminate reflection loss and to transmit light from a light source efficiently by integrating numbers of extremely small distributed index plane microlenses in a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The substrate 4 having numbers of distributed index plane microlenses 5 integrated on the surface is irradiated with the light from the light source 2 and the light is diffused in many directions. Therefore, the incident light neither causes multiple reflection in the substrate 4 nor scattering to the light source, so the reflection loss is reduced extremely, so that the light from the light source 2 is transmitted efficiently.
