PURPOSE:To improve the safeness of working and production efficiency by inserting a pipe into a mandrel bar outside a pipe drawing line and then drawing a pipe with feeding onto a pipe drawing line. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel bar 4 is set to the prescribed position with a transferring device 18 from a feeding table 17 and also a pipe 2 on a table 19 is moved with its being held between by a pinch roll 20 and inserted into the mandrel bar 4 outside the drawing line. The mandrel bar 4 in which the pipe 2 is inserted is set on a guiding device 3 and the tip of the pipe 2 is engaged with the holding tool of a drawing carriage 26. By a plug and die stand 1 successively the pipe 2 is formed to a product. Due to the insertion of the pipe 2 being performed outside the drawing line, safeness is elevated and production efficiency is improved because of the next pipe 2 being able to be inserted during drawing.
