A bed connector for connecting the sides of the bed to the bedposts, having a round peg which is inserted in a bore 10 in the front end 12 of the side 14 of the bed, is glued therein and is provided on its portion 16 projecting from the bore 10 with a cut-in wooden thread 18, having a bore 24 which penetrates the bedpost 22 and receives the portion 16 of the round peg 20 which projects from the front end 12 of the side 14 of the bed, having a wooden cap nut 28 provided with a wooden internal thread 26, and having a blind bore 30, which partially receives the wooden cap nut 28, in the side of the bedpost 22 facing away from the front end 12 of the side 14 of the bed. <IMAGE>
