PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform high quality recording by preventing the generation of a satellite, by such a structure that the end surface of a filter in the side of a pressure generation part is obliquely formed. CONSTITUTION:Because the end surface 5a of a filter 5 is inclined at an angle of theta to the plane A crossing a straight line ink flow passage 1 at right angles, the presure wave generated in the ink flow passage is absorbed or attenuated by the vibration of a piezoelectric element 2 after the emission of ink without being acoustically reflected at the end surface 5a of the filter 5 different from a conventional one. Therefore, the change in pressure in the vicinity of an orifice 1a is reduced and the generation of a satellite is prevented. In this case, the magnitude of the effect for preventing the aforementioned satellite relates to that of the inclination angle theta of the filter and it is proper to set the angle theta to 10 deg. or more but, with due regard to stability when the filter 5 is fixed, it is pref. to set the upper limit of the angle theta to about 50 deg.. |
