PURPOSE:To easily adjust a control voltage to respective levels by varying a control voltage with a maximum level and a control voltage with a lower level in proportion to each other. CONSTITUTION:An analog switch 240 is turned on when a laser output is set, and the output voltage of a voltage follower 239 is impressed to the negative- side input of a comparator 234. Then, a voltage divided by the 1st voltage varying means 360 and a resistance R45 is applied to the input terminal of the voltage follower 239. Further, the voltage varying means 360 is operated to vary the voltage to the negative-side terminal of the comparator 234. Similarly, the output voltage of the voltage follower 239 is divided by a resistance R46 and the 2nd voltage varying means 361 through an analog switch 241 and this divided voltage is applied to the negative-side input terminal of the comparator 234. Then, the voltage varying means 360 is varied by this light output setting means to vary the maximum-level control voltage and lower-level control voltage in proportion to each other, so the voltage is easily adjusted to respective levels.
