PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arrangement structure of a panel which satisfies user needs more appropriately in a portable type printer.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a device body part 11 having therein recording means for performing recording on a recording medium; and a panel 14 which has a display part 28 for displaying various information and the like and opens and closes a top part of the device body part 11 by rotating around a rotating shaft, with the panel 14 being constituted of a pair of short sides and a pair of long sides and the display part 28 having a contour constituted of a pair of short sides and a pair of long sides and being provided to the panel 14 in such a manner that its longitudinal direction corresponds to the longitudinal direction of the panel 14, while the panel 14 is provided so as to rotate with its longitudinal direction corresponding to a direction crossing the rotating shaft.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
