PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel foldable display device with excellent portability, provide a novel display device capable of displaying an image on a large seamless screen, and provide a novel display device that has high resistance against external physical force both in a folded state and a developed state.SOLUTION: A display device has a first cabinet, a second cabinet, a display panel, and a cover film; the first cabinet stores the display panel; the second cabinet stores the cover film; the display panel is flexible; the cover film is flexible and allows visible light to pass through; in the state where the display device is developed, the cover film is on a display surface of the display panel; at the time of folding, the first cabinet can be folded prior to the second cabinet, and thereafter, the second cabinet can be folded so as to cover the first cabinet. A curvature radius at the time of folding is higher in the cover film than in the display panel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
