Compounds of the formula (I): <IMAGE> (I) and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof wherein R1 and R2 are the same or different and each is hydrogen, hydroxy, halo, alkoxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or aralkyloxy of 1 to 4 carbon atoms and X and Y are each hydrogen or nicotinoyl are useful as anti-edema agents, anti-inflammatories, analgesics, anti-pyretics, anti-allergenics and anti-thrombosis agents.
