Methods for producing recombinant cell populations are disclosed. The disclosed methods may be used to produce therapeutic polyclonal proteins.

1. A method for producing a polyclonal cell population, said method comprising the steps of:
a) transforming one or more host cells with at least one vector comprising at least one copy of a nucleic acid sequence that encodes a component of a polyclonal protein composition, in the presence of a recombinase or retroviral integrase, such that the at least one vector integrates into the host cell genome at a plurality of locations recognized by the recombinase or retroviral integrase; b) generating a cell population capable of producing the component of the polyclonal protein composition; and c) mixing the cell population and a different cell population producing a different component of the polyclonal protein composition generated by performing steps (a) and (b) to produce a polyclonal cell population capable of producing the polyclonal protein composition.
