PURPOSE:To eliminate pinholes, etc. by a simple method by providing another photosetting type photosensitive resin layer on a polyamide base photosensitive resin layer, forming latent images on both layers, developing the upper layer first then forming the protecting film thence developing the lower layer. CONSTITUTION:A photosetting type photosensitive resin layer 24 such as rubber- base photo resist or the like is provided on a photosensitive polyamide resin plate 10. Next, latent images are formed on both resin layers plate 10, 24 by using a positive original 12 for gravure and printing with light 14. When the layer 24 is developed by the developing solution which is composed primarily of xylelne or the like and does not attack the plate 10, then the defective parts produced by the pinholes 18 of the original or the foreign matter or the like of the optical path are also developed and therefore the unexposed parts 20 of the plate 10 expose under the removed parts 26 of the layer 24. Next, a protecting film 16 is applied to the unexposed parts 20 by alcohol-resistant varnish or the like, after which the plate 10 is developed and washed, whereby line parts 22 are formed. Finally the film 16 and layer 24 are peeled by toluene or the like and after drying, exposure 14 and baking are performed. In this way, the distinct images free from pinholes are obtained. |
