<p>PURPOSE:To effectively remove the malodorous components and the oil component geneated by preheating scraps, by neutralizing the malodorous components in exhaust gas by the malodorous component neutralizing agent sprayed to a bag filter and washing a soluble malodorous component and oil fume with water. CONSTITUTION:A part of exhaust gas, which is exhausted from an arc furcance 1 and burnt in a combustion chamber 2, is guided to a preheater 7 through a duct 5 and scraps are preheaed by combustion heat. Exhaust gas containing malodorous components and oil fume after the preheating of the scraps is cooled by a cooling tower 6 to convert oil fume to mist. A malodorous component neutralizing agent such as CaO is supplied into a duct 10 from a blow-in apparatus 13 and sent into a bag house 12 to be adhered to the cake layers of bag filters. The malodorous components in the exhaust gas are reacted with the neutralizing agent, when the exhaust gas passes through the bag filters, to be converted to salt. Subsequently, the exhaust gas is sent to a packed tower 16 and soluble malodorous component and oil fume are removed by washing.</p> |
