PURPOSE:To reduce the area for installation remarkably and to make laser beam welding with high accuracy by arranging a clamper, a shear, a laser beam welding device and an electrode for welding on the same base stand. CONSTITUTION:The rear end and front end of a preceding strip 1a and succeeding strip 1b are stopped in blade width of a shearing device 34, and centering is made by a side guide device. Then, the first clamper 10 and the second clamper 12 are closed and strips 1a, 1b are clamped and cut by the shearing device 34. End faces of the two strips are butted. A laser beam working head runs with a laser beam oscillator and a laser beam transmitting device from the back of direction that intersects the line and welding is performed. When removing reinforcement of the weld zone, a cylinder is operated to stop the weld zone between the first and third clampers 10, 20, and reinforcement is cut by trimmer cutting tools 52, 53. |
