<p>14,15-Dihydro 14alpha/14beta-hydroxy 14beta/14alpha-methanol eburnamenine cpds. are made by (a) reacting methyl 14,15-dihydro 14-hydroxy eburnamenine carboxylate with a metallic hydride, such as diisobutyl aluminium hydride or bis(2-methoxy ethoxy) aluminium hydride, in aromatic solvent at 10-20 deg.C for 110-60 mins. to obtain a mixt. of cpds., and (b) sepg. the mixt. by recrystallisation.</p> |
