PURPOSE:To simply reduce noise by integrally forming a cylinder part and a bearing boss part and forming the bearing boss part separately from a side-wall part and screwing a bolt for fixing the bearing cap, to the cylinder part. CONSTITUTION:When a pressurizing force is applied in the direction of arrow A onto a bearing cap 3 by the combustion pressure, etc. of an engine, said pressurizing force is transmitted to a bolt 13 through the bearing cap 3, and directly acts onto the lower part of a cylinder part 101a with which the screw 13a of the bolt 13 is screwed. Though the side-wall part 101c is connected to the cylinder part 101a in this case, the side-wall part 101c is separated from a bearing boss part 10b, and the pressurizing force acting from the bolt 13 is received only by the cylinder part 101a, and the side-wall part 101c is hardly deformed. In other words, the side-wall part 101c deforms in the direction A of pressurization, and the deformation in the transverse direction is hardly generated. Therefore, the noise generated form the side-wall part 101c, etc. can be reduced markedly. |
