The invention relates to a scouring cream and to a process for its preparation. The subject of the invention is a scouring cream or abrasive detergent cream, containing active principles of plant origin, chosen from the fatty acids of tall oil, terpineol and their mixtures and an abrasive filler consisting of calcium carbonate. The pH is adjusted to 7.85 +/- 0.05 in order to adjust the viscosity and the apparent density of the product is stabilised by degassing with polysiloxane. Application to the cleaning of solid surfaces.
