PURPOSE:To form a striped structure such as an electrode with high accuracy without giving any adverse effect to a glass base plate by applying a material paste to the entire surface of the glass base plate by printing and then sintering and solidifying the applied paste in a striped pattern by laser light irradiation. CONSTITUTION:A conductive paste such as a Ni paste is applied to the entire surface of a front glass base plate 2 by printing to form a Ni paste layer 17 with homogeneous thickness. Next, according to an anode pattern which is not illustrated, laser light 13 is irradiated upon the Ni paste layer 17 by turning on and off laser light 13 and moving a laser head 14 in X and Y directions. By the movement of the laser head 14, the Ni paste layer 17 is sintered and solidified in stripe form. Next, unirradiated areas 19 are wiped away or washed off to leave only irradiated areas 18, thereby forming stripe-like parallel anodes 4. In the same manner as above, another striped structure can also be formed. |
