PURPOSE:To improve the wear resistance of a magnetic head and to prevent generation of tape squeaking for a long period of time by using a resin added with an org. lubricating agent as a fixing material and embedding blocks consisting of glassy carbon into part of a sliding part consisting of the fixing material. CONSTITUTION:The fixing material 5 prepd. by incorporating a lubricating agent such as silicone oil, higher fatty acid, metallic soap or the like together with fine powder of inorg. CaCO3 or the like together with a resin such as epoxy resin or the like is used in the stage of embedding the glassy carbon 7, 7, which are formed by using a thermosetting resin, etc. having three-dimensional network structure as a raw material, adding a catalyst thereto, calcining the raw material to carbonize the same and molding the same into a block shape, into the material 5 in a way as to face the aperture 2 of on the surface 1a of a case 1 of the magnetic head for sliding with a magnetic recording medium adjacently to each magnetic core 4. The long-life head which has the high hardness, high corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the glassy carbon blocks 7, 7, has the self-lubricity improved further by the org. lubricating agent and obviates tape squeaking is obtd. |
