PURPOSE:To make complex machining attainable with a simply formed electrode as well as to aim at reduction in manufacturing cost, by calculating machining position coordinates of a projecting strip from machining position coordinate information on a cold punched hole after numerical controlled electric discharge machining for the cold punched hole and setting information on the projecting strip and thereby carrying out the NC electric discharge machining in conformity with the position coordinates. CONSTITUTION:With machining position coordinate information on the size and form prestored in a program tape 8 or the like and a position in a die 1 or the like, a numerical control system 9 drives and controls each of motors 11 and 12 to perform the positioning of the die 1 or a material 1' for a plate keeper 2. And, a voltage pulse is impressed by a working power source 7, and a cold punched hole 1a is machined while feeding a working fluid. Next, using a rotary bar electrode 13, machining position control for the size and form of a projecting strip 1b and its position or the like takes place by calculation on the basis of the machining position coordinate information on the cold punched hole 1a stored in the tape 8 and specified coordinate information on a sectional form of the projecting strip 1b to be inputted out of a key 10' and a space from the cold punched hole 1a and the like, whereby several types of complicatedly formed projecting strips 1b are machinable with a simply formed electrode 13. |
