PURPOSE:To obtain a conductive polymer film continuously, by coating a drum electrode with a polymer film, dipping it in a solution for electrolytic polymerization containing an aromatic compound, and separating the film from the drum after electrolytic polymerization. CONSTITUTION:A counter electrode 7 is placed in an electrolytic polymerization tank 8 holding a solution for electrolytic polymerization 6 containing an aromatic compound (e.g. pyrrole) and an electrolyte, and a rotatable drum electrode 1 is placed opposite to the counter electrode 7. A film-forming synthetic resin 3 is applied on the rotating drum electrode 1 and dried to form a polymer film 5 thereon. Then the drum 1 is dipped in the solution for electrolytic polymerization 6, to electrolytically polymerize the aromatic compound and to disperse the formed aromatic polymer in the film 5. The film 5 is separated, washed and dried to give an objective conductive polymer film 13.
