THERMAL INSULATION OF PIPING AT ROOF-PENETRATING SECTION OF CRYOGENIC LIQUIDIZED GAS STORAGE TANK

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the thermal insulation of penetrating pipe structure at all sections by insulating the piping from the steel plate roof at the penetrating section through a foaming synthetic resin pipe cover and a thermal insulation layer produced through injection/foaming of original foaming liquid. CONSTITUTION:In order to thermally insulate the pipe penetrating section, a sleeve 3 is first applied over a piping 2, to weld the sleeve 3 to the steel plate roof 1 and the piping 2. Then a foaming synthetic resin pipe cover 5 is fixed through the lower opening of sleeve 3 to the outercircumference of the piping 2. Said pipe cover 5 is previously fixed with a hose 6 for injecting synthetic resin original foaming liquid. Then the lower opening of sleeve 3 is closed by foaming synthetic resin board 8 to inject/foam the original foaming liquid through the hose 6 into an annular space between the sleeve 3 and the pipe cover 5 thus to form a thermal insulation layer 9.
