PURPOSE:To increase or decrease a power transmission frictional area in response to the magnitude of power by making changeable the numbers of press plates and clutch disks in response to the magnitude of the power. CONSTITUTION:Press plates 28, 29 are mounted axially movably and demounting in an adapter ring 23. Clutch disks 34, 35 are mounted axially movably and demountably on an output shaft 32, and the press plates 28, 29 are pressed. Hereby, there are a press means for bringing the press plates 28, 29, the clutch disks 34, 35, and a flywheel 22 into contact and for thereby transmitting power from an input shaft 21 to the output shaft 32 by making frictional force produced by said contact, and a press releasing means for releasing said press means and for thereby releasing the power from the input shaft 21 to the output shaft 32. Hereby, a power transmission frictional area can be properly increased or decreased in response to the magnitude of the power. |
