PURPOSE:To realize extraction of sufficient logic functions even in case the memory function is extracted or not extracted and prepare a variety of logic functions by providing a memory circuit at the corners of periphery of the region where the input/output circuits are arranged. CONSTITUTION:The input/output circuit 3 must be arranged in such a number as many as about 50 circuits at the one side, for example, in the cas of a semiconductor integrated circuit device 1 having the external input/output terminal 2 having about 200 pins. The input/output circuit 3 is formed by arrangement of semiconductor elements so as to form, for example, an input buffer circuit, output buffer circuit, input protection circuit and output protection circuit and it is formed as the square having the size of about 0.8-0.9mm.X0.1-0.2mm.. A memory circuit 4 is arranged in the corners of semiconductor integrated circuit device 1 where the input/output circuit 3 is not provided. This memory circuit 4 is formed by regular arrangement of semiconductor elements, for example, in view of forming a dyanamic access memory, static random access memory and read only memory, etc. |
