PURPOSE:To identify a calling-side terminal even in automatic reception mode by providing a sound output means which is driven with a signal transmitted from the calling side. CONSTITUTION:When a call signal is received from a telephone circuit, a CPU2 starts control to send a CED (called station identification) signal from the telephone circuit W. Then, a GI2 (identification of group 2) signal is sent out to the circuit for 1.5sec, and a switch SWB is changed over to the left side to drive a buzzer speaker 19 with the signal from the circuit W. Therefore, if the calling station is a sound terminal, its sound is outputted from the speaker 19. A tonal detector 13 detects the GC2 signal of the opposite side and when it is detected, the switch SWB is changed over to connect the speaker 19 to UPI9 which controls the operation of a recording system, thereby performing G2 facsimile communication. |
