<p>The envelope manipulating machine delivers them to a working position open for insertion or removal of the contents with the aid of the operator's hand. a control functions in response to the presence of the hand in the insertion or removal position in the working position, having detectors for its presence. A first unit partly closes a circuit delivering an envelope to the position on withdrawal of the hand, and a second one operates on return to the initial state after a predetermined period, closing the circuit and delivering another envelope. A third unit responds to replacement of the hand in the position prior to elapse of the predetermined period, returning the second unit to the initial state without actuating the delivery mechanism.</p> |
