NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R1 is cycloalkyl; R2 is substituted or unsubstituted acyclic and cyclic alkyl) or its salt. EXAMPLE:Cyclohexyloxycarbonyloxy-(cyclohexyl)methyl 7beta-[2-(2-aminothiazol-4- yl)acetamide]-3-[ [ 1-( 2-dimethylaminoethyl-1H-tetrazol-5-yl )thio ]methyl ]ceph-3- em-4-carboxylate.dihydrochloride. USE:An antibacterial: Absorption through digestive tracts are good it can be made into drugs easily. PREPARATION:A not-ester form of compounds of formula I, namely sephothiam or its salt is allowed to react with 1-10 times molar amount of a compound of formula II such as cyclohexyliodomethyl cyclohexyl carbonate in a solvent, preferably DMF, e.g., at -20-20 deg.C for several minutes to 1hr.
