<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a jammed sheet from being torn-off when it is taken away, by sending the jammed sheet in the direction of transportation by operating a sending-out means for a prescribed time, when the sheet is jammed between the sheet sending-out means and a sheet transportation means. CONSTITUTION:When sheet jam is judged by sheet-jam sensors 24-28, it is judged if any of sheet existence sensors 29-31 is turned ON namely any of the sensors detects a sheet 2, and if ON is judged, a sheet sending-out means A is turned ON for a prescribed time, and a sheet transportation means B is turned OFF, and a jam indication means is turned ON. Then the rear part of the jammed sheet nipped by a feed roller 4 and a reverse roller 5 is sent-out towards the sheet transportation means B by the revolution of the feed roller 4, and the jammed sheet 2' is released from the feed roller 4 and the reverse roller 5, and the sheet 2' can be effectively prevented from being torn-off.</p> |
