PURPOSE:To reduce the driving torque in the case when a suction port is closed and no-load operation is performed, by installing a valve mechanism for releasing the pressure in a compression chamber when the discharge pressure on the discharge port side reaches a prescribed value, onto a scroll compressor. CONSTITUTION:When the pressure in an oil separator 1 reaches a prescribed value, a pilot pressure is supplied onto a pressure adjusting valve 20 through a pipe 21, and a suction port 9 is closed by the valve 20. At the same time, the compressed air supplied from the oil separator is supplied as control pressure into the pressure chamber 30 of each valve mechanism 22 through a control- pressure feeding pipe 32, and a compression chamber 7 and a communication chamber 27 are allowed to communicate each other by the action of the valve 20. The compressed air in the compression chamber 7 is supplied into the suction port 9 from a suction pipe 18 through the communication chamber 27, communication hole 29, and the secondary side of the pressure adjusting valve 20 in an unloading pipe 31. Therefore, almost all the compression action of the compressor is eliminated, and the power in no-load operation can be reduced. |
