PURPOSE:To reduce the sliding loss between a vane and a roller by making a vane groove into sealed structure and allowing said vane groove to communicate to a suction passage and always keeping the vane groove part in low-pressure state. CONSTITUTION:The vane groove 10 of the captioned rotary compressor is formed into sealed state for the environment in a case by the bulging-out parts 15 and 16 of an upper bearing 13 and a lower bearing 14 tightened and fixed onto a cylinder 17. The side surface on the suction passage side of the vane groove 10 and a suction passage 11 are allowed to communicate through a thin hole 12. Therefore, the inside of thevane groove 10 is kept always in a low-pressure state, and the force pressing the vane 9 onto the outer periphery of a roller 4 is only the force of a spring 8, and the sliding loss generated between the vane 9 and the roller can be reduced.
