1. A target adapted to be passed through by the projectiles of firearms, comprising a butt and at least three flat elements (2, 1, 3) arranged one behind the other, the middle element (1) being of a different material from that of the elements (2, 3) applied to its faces, the target being characterized in that the middle element comprises a thick rigid board (1) made of a non resilient expanded or honeycombed synthetic material, that the outer elements (2, 3) comprise paper, cardboard or plastic sheets glued to the faces of the middle element (1), and that the rigid assembly formed by the board (1) and the sheets (2, 3) is easily pierced by bullets in such a manner that the diameter of the hole made by each shot is substantially constant and corresponds to the diameter of the said bullet, thereby facilitating umpiring and the passage of check-rods through the targets. |
