PURPOSE:To enable loosening of tight winding of a brake shoe by the air in concave portions at the time of brake operation by forming the brake shoe of the brake member into a sheet type brake lining material and providing plural concave portions on the sliding face of the lining material. CONSTITUTION:In a fully automatic washing machine, co-rotation, to the one direction, of a washing shaft 1-1 with a washing and dehydrating tub in which a dehydrating shaft 5 is provided is prevented by pressing a brake shoe 8 to a brake wheel 9 by a spring 7 through a brake band 6. In this case, a member 16 forming the brake shoe 8 is punched in a sheet type brake lining material having lots of holes 16-1 and one side of the member is stuck to the brake band 6 and bent and formed. Then, at the time of dehydrating brake operation, air in the holes 16-1 is expanded by frictional heat of the brake wheel 9 and the brake lining material 16 to loosen tight winding of the brake shoe 8, and a desired aim can be obtained. |
