PURPOSE:To execute address conversion at a high speed by setting the head address of a segment table for a new logical address space by an instruction provided on a logical address space register, in case of switching the logical address space of a program which is being executed. CONSTITUTION:An instruction for setting the head address of a segment table to a logical address space register LASA100 is provided, and in case of switching a logical address space of a program which is being executed, the head address of the segment table for a new logical address space is set by this instruction. As a result, when address converting information of a common page is registered in address converting buffers 700, 750 as the program is executed, this address converting information is used when this page is brought to access by a program on other logical address space being in a common relation before its information is driven out. Accordingly, effective address converting information is not driven out, and a ratio of the number of times of use of the address converting information to the number of times of address conversion, is improved. |
