PURPOSE:To divide an upstream side opening and a downstream side opening, to make a small-sized roof ventilator and to make a low cost unit by a method wherein a plate having aeration port to be slid is applied. CONSTITUTION:A plate 8 having aeration ports 3 and 4 to be lid by an opening or closing machine 10 is placed between a plate 7 having aeration ports 1 and 2 and a plate 9 having aeration ports 5 and 6 at the top end of the roof of the building, a partition 11 is arranged at the upper part of the plate 9, a partition 12 is arranged below the plate 7 and a roof ventilator in which the upper partition plate 11 is covered with a weather cover 14 is fixed. For example, during summer season, the wind is passed through the aeration port 16, at the upstream side and aeration ports 6, 4 and 2, passed through the upstream side partitioned by the partition 13 of the aeration port 15 and then flowed into the ceiling chamber 18. Since the downstream side aeration port 17 is at a negative pressure, the hot air in the ceiling chamber is passed from the downstream side through the aeration port 15, aeration ports 1, 3, 5 and 17 and then discharged out of the building. In case that no air flow is present, the hot air is raised due to a difference in temperature and the surrounding air is flowed from the underfloor aeration port 19 and the ceiling ventilation port 20 and then discharged by the roof ridge ventilation.
