PURPOSE:To achieve lower cost and stable quality by a method wherein an unidirectionally reinforced fiber is arranged on a coil-like long-sized lightweight shaping material, the material is cut to the length corresponding to the diameter of a desired ring shape and then, butting cuts are put together and impregnated with a resin to form a reinforced plastic layer. CONSTITUTION:Continuous unidirectionally reinforced fibers 1b comprising carbon fiber, glass fiber or alumina fiber are wound crossing circumferential around a core material 1a of a rim made up of a foam material stuffed with a resin such as urethane or rubber or a thin pipe material at a fixed angle with a knitting machine or a winding machine. The core material 1a is cut to the length corresponding to the diameter of a desired ring shape and the butting cuts are engaged with each other. The unidirectionally reinforced fibers are impregnated with a resin and heated and hardened to form a reinforced plastic layer. Finally a design molding is done with rubber or a resin after or before the joining of a rim 1 and a spoke 2. |
