PURPOSE:To enable an high quality printing by varying voltage to be applied to a recording head between the incoming and outgoing operations to uniformize the density of printing to be made on a recording paper. CONSTITUTION:When a signal (a) indicates that a recording head 1 is in the outgoing operation, a selector 15 connects a resistance 12 to a power source and outputs a reference voltage VB as a specified value to a regulator 11. The regulator 11 outputs a drive voltage VD to the recording head regulating the input voltage VI to perform a printing operation according to the drive voltage VD. When the recording head 1 receives a signal indicating the incoming operation, the selector 15 connects resistances 13 and 14 to the power source to output a reference voltage VB' different from the reference voltage VB to the regulator 11. When the recording head 1 performs the incoming operation, the printing is easier to deteriorate than in the outgoing operation. The voltages VD and VD' are set by adjusting the variable resistance 14 to ensure the printing of the even density both in the outgoing and incoming operations. |
