PURPOSE:To obtain printing without occurrence of print blurr and ground staining with good transfer reproductivity by a method in which ink is transferred to a paper to be transferred in an electric field by an electrifying thermal transfer method, and only recording needle is used as one electrode for generating electric field. CONSTITUTION:A paper 56 to be transferred is put on a supporting base 57, an ink sheet 52 is overlapped on the paper 56, and a fixed width of rectangular wave current is flowed to recording needles 52a and 52b from a pulse generation circuit 51. Whereupon, the current flows in the resistor layer 53 of the ink sheet 50 to generate Joule heat which melts a heat meltable ink layer 55. In this case, high voltage of a high tension power source 58 is applied between the ink layer 55 and the earth from a delay pulse circuit 59 synchronized with the pulse generation circuit 51. The ink melted by the electric field reaches the apertures of fibers by electrostatic attraction to give dots of good reproductivity. The generation of delay pulse is made after 2-5msec after flowing the rectangular current when the ink layer 55 is melted. |
